The Los Angeles Kings call arguably one of the most iconic arenas in sports home. This arena is none other than the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles which is a host to three different professional sports teams. These teams include the Los Angeles Kings, Lakers, and Clippers some of the most iconic franchises in the history of sports as well. Now the arena may be better known for its hosting of those two NBA teams due to their superstars, but it does not mean that the Kings are any less relevant on the scene.

History
As for the arena’s history specifically, it was originally opened on October 17, 1999 making it one of the newer stadiums on this list. In addition to all of the sporting events, the Staples Center is host to over 250 other events which holds a total of nearly four million guests per year. Another famous event that is hosted here is the Grammy Awards ceremony and in the future it will be the 2028 Summer Olympics.
Now there have been some renovations made to this arena with the focus being on both the players and fans alike. First of all, the locker rooms for all of the teams were refurbished. In addition to the locker rooms, a brand new scoreboard and jumbotron were located in the center of the arena. There are likely more renovations in the years to come as the Staples Center tends to be one of the arenas that is always on top of the game.
Again, being in Los Angeles this arena has been a host to many unique ceremonies like Kobe Bryant’s last game and a memorial service for Nipsey Hussle. You can always count on the Staples Center to add to the history of the city and of the teams.
